Tick...tick...tick... Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - JEBB - 07-10-2010 Is that the sweet spot? Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - PeterB - 07-10-2010 JEBB, yeah, pretty much... that's the machine I'm now typing this from. Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - Panopticon - 07-10-2010 OOS took < 2 hours :damnyou: Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - pokari - 07-10-2010 Jus wondering though, for about $130 or so more you can get the new mac mini with twice the hard drive space. So wouldn't that and a HDMI hook up make the new one enticing as well? Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - Mini 9 - 07-10-2010 still shows IN stock at the moment for me Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - Panopticon - 07-10-2010 Mini 9 wrote:yep, still available. {must have found another container stashed in the warehouse} :banghead: Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - decay - 07-10-2010 more USB ports on the old one... looks like the 2.0 GHz with more RAM & HD space has dried up... Re: $499 Mac Mini refurbs restocked - RAMd®d - 07-11-2010 So wouldn't that and a HDMI hook up make the new one enticing as well? It does for me. Some people would rather save the money and put it towards RAM. One less USB port is not a deal breaker for me. I'll either get 4G with the new mini or wait until third-party price drops. (But I can be impatient.) And as the HD is pretty pokey anyway, I'll probably run an external 7200rpm HD as the boot drive. So more internal space is appreciated, but not essential. |
