And now for a change of pace... - $tevie - 05-05-2011

If it's possible, the controversial Donald Trump has become even more controversial in the days leading up to the Indianapolis 500. Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials last month announced that Trump will be the ceremonial pace-car driver for the 100th-anniversary 500, scheduled for May 29.

However, Trump's challenge of President Barack Obama's birthplace and his apparent political aspirations have Indy 500 fans in a tizzy both ways--for and against him driving the pace car.

The pace car's a convertible, right? So we can take a poll on whether his hair moves. My guess is when it blows back it will be longer than Willie Nelson's.

There's always the chance Trump with have a fit of road rage under the pressure of having to drive at a steady, predicatable pace. Can he even drive? Has anybody seen his driver's license? We Drivers don't believe he knows how to drive.

Or maybe some are afraid Obama will interrupt the start of the race with another announcement.

The technology to suppress crowd reaction was developed and tested during our former President's appearance at a couple of different sporting events. It works so rest assured that although he might have some trouble sleeping later that evening, "The Donald" won't be publicly embarrassed.

Trump has announced that he will not be driving the pace car.

He's still ducking the issue of producing a valid driver's license.

We Drivers demand to see his long form driver's license. We know he is not a driver. He is not one of us.
