$300 and does not include Thunderbolt cable.
Just curious-- would anyone here be likely to buy one?

Nope.

Although price is an a issue -- the cable thing is standard.

No printers come with USB cables -- and BB, Staples, etc all steer you to the $29 USB cables -- when they are $1 from monoprice.

So pricey. Sad

Did you notice the labeling for the DC power connector, 12V 6A. That's a lot of power, but there are a lot of bus powered ports.

That's well and good when there are $1 alternatives. Aren't Thunderbolt cables still a decent bit of dough?

That's not true. Both printers I've bought in the last few years had a usb cable included. But largely beside the point. I had been fairly interested in this product when it was vaporware, but idunno. Price is steep, and it doesn't serve as a thunderbolt hub! Wouldn't that be part of the idea??? Only two TB ports..one goes to computer, one to display...what about your TB hard drive....? Stupid.

It's a pass-through port. You can chain other devices through it. Sonnet does that, too. You plug your Thunderbolt RAID into the dock and plug the monitor in through the RAID.

The Matrox dock doesn't even have Thunderbolt pass-through. It has to be at the end of the chain.

I've been eyeing this, but I'm gonna wait out price a bit; and see if Tbolt even sticks.
It's a slow go.

But I do like the Tbolt on my MBA to DP on the ext 24" Dell.
This would be a nice addition to add all that powered stuff.
