Now he's saying he didn't mean it. Here's what Trump said. - SteveG - 08-12-2016

Like listening to a drunk at a bar. President Trump.

Trump initially made the inflammatory comment during a Wednesday evening rally in Sunrise, Florida. “ISIS is honoring President Obama. He is the founder of ISIS,” Trump said. “He is the founder of ISIS, OK? He’s the founder. He founded ISIS. And I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.”

But he didn’t stop there. The real estate mogul escalated his incendiary rhetoric multiple times on Thursday, including during a speech to the National Association of Home Builders in Miami.

“Our government isn’t giving us good protection. Our government has unleashed ISIS,” he said. “I call President Obama and Hillary Clinton the founders of ISIS. They’re the founders. In fact, I think we’ll give Hillary Clinton the — you know, if you’re on a sports team, most valuable player, MVP, you get the MVP award — ISIS will hand her the most valuable player award. Her only competition is Barack Obama.”

Now's the time to call out his Republican Party endorsers. They don't deserve to be in office.

It was pointed out to him by a conservative talking head that the Administration fights ISIS but he said he didn't care.

I had a Philosophy class in college. The prof emphasized fighting for what you believe. Back it up with some reasonable argument. We wrote a lot of short papers, more than I'd ever written in any English class.

Words mattered ... I remember he was a stickler for avoiding dumb analogies, such as when describing something unrelated to airplanes as being "in a holding pattern."

That example is admittedly mild, but Trump strikes me as the kind of dolt who doesn't know the difference between a mild inaccuracy and a large one.

Anybody in elective office supporting him at this point should be voted out. And the TV and Radio supporters should be subject to public censure. Trump is clearly a danger to this country.

As mentioned in an earlier thread, Pres. Obama is just using our military to consolidate his leadership of ISIS by knocking off all its other leaders, using drones, etc.

For the past 30 years, Trump has been a well known public eccentric and the cause of amusement and derision here in New York. That his ravings are seriously supported by tens of millions of Americans are both baffling and depressing to those who have seen him being a headline-seeking jerk for all those years.

Drumpf pointed out in an interview that everybody is talking about how he said it. That's all he cares about.

And if you think Trump is hanging his defenders out to dry by denying the remarks. Here's what defender Rudy Giuliani has said in the past. He (and Trump) have repeated this slander:

Rudy Giuliani: Hillary Clinton is ‘a founding member of ISIS’

There was, not exactly a treatise, but an analysis of the difference between flat out lying and bull s hiting. I don't have the link at the moment but it really hit the nail on the head.

Seems that for most of his life Mr. Trump has been a salesman and as such the lines between lies and bull s hit blur. It seems that those who travel in the same circles as Mr. Trump are aware and have been aware of that propensity for a long time. His Ability to raise funds and his creditworthiness have been questionable for a long time and he's needed to use European banks for credit loans, in particular, DeutschBank and HSBC.

He needed to do that because American banks would no longer lend him money

DeutschBank and HSBC are banking houses with less than stellar reputations and under investigation by different government regulatory agencies in a number of countries and are to this day the only institutions still locked into Trump. Locked in in this case means if he fails again, they fail with him.

The idea that Mr. Trump is a truly successful businessman may also be a myth, a myth long supported by unsubstantiated declarations and bravado, that he has anywhere close to the net assets or wealth he claims is questionable. That he won't release tax returns is telling, the last thing he wants is any close examination of his finances.
