AI Video Backing Trump - p8712 - 05-29-2023 I'm sure this won't be misused in the election! However, the video also raises serious concerns about Trump’s and other people’s willingness to disseminate fake, AI-generated audio of other famous people as part of the upcoming presidential campaign. The technology will likely be used to make other obviously fake and “humorous” videos like this. But candidates and foreign agents could also use the technology to sway voters with high-quality deepfakes that seem very real. Re: AI Video Backing Trump - Acer - 05-29-2023 I'm thinking if one side does it, everybody has to do it. Taking the high road may preserve your honor, but you'll lose. Re: AI Video Backing Trump - Ombligo - 05-29-2023 I truly dread what future elections will become. Re: AI Video Backing Trump - Carnos Jax - 05-29-2023 Can we treat it like child pornography, and absolutely nuke anyone who disseminates such videos? We've managed to drive the former underground and out of reach of most Americans. Re: AI Video Backing Trump - timg - 05-29-2023 i think child porn is probably easier to identify than these deep fake videos, which is ultimately going to be the problem. I really do hate to see what happens in the next election. Re: AI Video Backing Trump - Carnos Jax - 05-29-2023 That's a good point, because if the average joe schmoe can't recognize it, how can you "prosecute' them? Re: AI Video Backing Trump - sekker - 05-29-2023 Just the beginning Re: AI Video Backing Trump - Ted King - 05-29-2023 I'm still of the mind that there should be a law that any content that is generated by AI needs to have some audio and/or visual signifier identifying it as such. Of course, not everyone would follow such a law and everyone would need to stay alert for such content but I think it would keep a lot of actors from "confusing" people because they wouldn't want to get caught up in breaking the law - like hopefully legit campaign committees.
