folding phone - Fritz - 07-08-2023 when folding phones drop to sane prices, whatever you call sane. iPho or Pixel or ... wouldja? not for me. I find the 6" size is big enough unless I'm watching a long form, which I'd never do on a phone. But that may because of my work experience. Plus one more thing to fail and cause repair or new costs. And all things the same, I preferred my smaller 5.5" bodied HTC M7 to my current P5, even though the difference isn't much. Re: folding phone - Lew Zealand - 07-08-2023 If they can give me an A6 sized screen when folded and it folds out to an A5 sized screen then I'm in. Shape stays the same but the dimensions get bigger. That would be perfect. Re: folding phone - sekker - 07-08-2023 Yes!!! Loved my folding Sony CLIE PEG-NX70. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_CLI%C3%89_NX_Series But waiting for them to get decent. Samsung third gen are almost there in terms of hardware. Software - still sucks as far as I can tell. The new google folding phone is a classic first gen product. Shows promise. But it's google. Who knows whether they will stick with it and make a third gen. If Apple doesn't make their own by the time Samsung fixes software or google makes their third gen, my next smartphone will be an Android folding phone. Re: folding phone - davester - 07-08-2023 I long for the days of much smaller phones, but I really like big screens. So, I think a folding phone is probably in my future. Re: folding phone - RAMd®d - 07-08-2023 wouldja? I can't deny the easier reading of some of the larger MaxiProUltra phones that look like mini iPads. I'm also not crazy about holding a big slab of phone up to my head. But the biggest thing I have against phones larger than my 12 mini is the carrying size. They're just far too much bigger in the pocket than I want to deal with. So, if a folding phone size stowed was that of the 12 mini and opened up to double the height, it would be a consideration. But that consideration would be based on the stowed thickness. What the folder seem to gain in deployed real estate, they lose in stowed thickness, being a chunk in the pocket, and that's bugs me, in theory, as much as using a phablet. Re: folding phone - jdc - 07-08-2023 Smaller the better. Miss my iPhone 5/SE. even my 12 mini seems too big. If I could get a folding 12 mini… aka old flip phone — awesome. Samsung flip is closer. Dig the big screen when closed. Re: folding phone - Black - 07-09-2023 Absolutely- the only technological advance in cell phones that matters to me at this point is getting the max amount of screen I can fit in my shirt pocket. Re: folding phone - mrbigstuff - 07-09-2023 I'm ready to ditch the screen altogether! No screen! This device has ruined us, imo. And. Yes. I'm writing this from my phone. It fit in your pocket. Re: folding phone - Rolando - 07-10-2023 Lew Zealand wrote: I love the A-series ratio o 1.41:1 It would be great for iPads as well! |
