different feeling between Trumps term and Bidens - Mr645 - 10-27-2023

I remember several years ago watching our President shake hands with Kim Jung Un, then the Abraham Accords, meeting with Putin. Our President lead the world toward peaceful relations. Such a warm happy feeling, especially as a Jew seeing the Abraham accords. I had never imagined middle east peace accords in my lifetime.

Now we start with a major war in Europe between Russia and Ukraine, millions of people displaced, US support in the hundreds of billions of dollars fighting a proxy war against Russia. Horrible, then we face war in the middle east, Israeli babies beheaded, tens of thousands will die, cities destroyed. This war is far more dangerous as the USA has already bombed Iranian forces in Syria. We have HAMAS with with their hands on weapons from Iran, Russia, North Korea and even US weapons acquired from Afghanistan. This expanding war has a real possibility of becoming World War 3.
The world and our nation is seeing the results of a weak, feeble President that can hardy lead himself up a flight of stairs, much less the world.
Wars raging and our President is already headed to his beach house retreat for the weekend.
Joe Biden is truly the world President this nation has ever had

No accounting for taste.

Anyway, the Abraham Accords are an interesting thing, and a positive one. But UAE? Bahrain? Not really the big fish out there. Saudi was in talks for something similar under Biden. On hold now thanks to Hamas.

But remember Iran? Iran is the chief supporter of Hamas, they are the chaos agent here. Obama had an agreement with Iran. Trump abandoned that, saber rattled for four years, and assassinated an Iranian general. Maybe if we had honored that Obama agreement, Iran would have not encouraged Hamas.

Ah, the what-ifs of life.

Whatever Biden does, he won't be going to prison over it.

The feeling I had during Trump's term was that things were out of control and that Trump was kissing up to our worst enemies and getting nothing in return. What the country did get was a huge tax cut for the rich and an anti-abortion Supreme Court. We also got a trade war with China which did not go to the real underlying problems, and hurt the midwestern farmers that Trump pretended to represent. Trump being beholden to Putin didn't give me a warm feeling, and the revelations about top secret documents being held as private property by Trump doesn't make me feel particularly happy.

According to CNN and HR Block, all Americans got a tax break. Roe V Wade was intact under Trump. Trump said "I personally an against abortion, but the issue has been decided by the courts and not up for discussion"

We had a trade war with China long before Trump took office, Trump was just first to fight back

Born in 1979 were you kiddo?!

1978 Camp David Accords

"Due to the agreement, Sadat and Begin received the shared 1978 Nobel Peace Prize."

1994 Israel–Jordan peace treaty

But...
"As of 2021, only six of the twenty-two members of the Arab League have recognized Israel: Egypt, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco."
