Re: V on SyFy - Paul F. - 11-01-2009

I set my Tivo before I had to leave this morning..
Just started playing it.

I'm fully prepared for it to be worse than I remembered :-)

I haven't seen it since the early '80's when it was first shown. I'm not sure, but I think I still have the novelization in a box someplace.

I've got the books - loved them at the time. Really liked the movie. The show was ok. I'm sure if I went back and watched it now, I'd probably laugh.

The visitors are getting the leading human scientists and most likely eating them. I thought aliens were suppose to go after the fat ones like me first! :booty:

Maybe we're too greasy? Big Grin

Re: V on SyFy - motopsyco - 11-01-2009

But fat is flavor. Emeril said so.

Re: V on SyFy - Paul F. - 11-01-2009

Well yeah, but TOO much fat is just nasty....

I'm proud to say that any cannibal would find me not lean enough Wink

Re: V on SyFy - DavidS - 11-01-2009

I actually have the DVDs in a box somewhere of the 2 miniseries and tv shows. I also had the book of the miniseries (A.C. Crispin, I believe) and the series of books that followed but those were sold at a garage sale or given away when my parents moved out of my childhood house. I do have the DVR set to record the shows this time around.

Oddly, my wife said she was into the miniseries when it first came on. She and I rarely liked the same stuff from our childhoods.
