Just did a SL install using the tonyx86mac guides/method on the hardware in my sig. Definitely recommend the method to anyone looking to do a p55/core build. Was an absolute cinch to get to 10.6.4 with no issues.

Thank you for the feedback. Do you know of a site that is tracking 10.6.x compatibility of bargain components like this?
InsanelyMac.com has a wiki, a database (very incomplete) and an extensive forum section. That's always my first stop.

I used to be a big gadget/gizmo/hobbyist geek. But I find I don't have the time to jump through hoops, or page through 160+ pages of a discussion thread.

My decision is usually Refurb vs New. Smile
