Thanks DRR. I think that makes 3 or so us in the last couple of weeks that have now helped ensure a new model is on the way.

Don't know how much a new model is going to add to what I need anyway. I just need a simple way to stream itunes content (preserving metadata) to a TV. Very little of my content is above 720p anyway so that's not going to make a huge difference. It's good for what I need.

I may just add myself to the list of new-model-seeders. I just wish I'd have been able to get in on that $125/160GB deal.

I almost pulled the trigger on that one - the lack of apple warranty was the only thing that held me back. What was it, a 90-day or 30-day warranty from an unnamed company (or did it specify BB?) Add the fact that my credit card won't extend the warranty on a product like that, and it was enough to keep me away.

I signed up for refurb.me email alerts and got an apple refurb 40GB model for $160 including tax (free ship).

The disk size doesn't affect me since I plan on streaming all the content.
