What do they eat. At the local park they outlawed the feeding of the ducks and geese. They left.

A lot of local businesses use fencing that is set just in the water at the edge of the pond. Just enough so the geese cannot get from the grass to the pond and vice versa. They eventually give up. The fence is nothing more than fine wire stretched out about a foot off the water surface.

I've also seen Swan decoys used to keep geese out. Swans are rather aggressive towards geese.

I once saw a pond with a coyote decoy in it on a floating fake island. 'eating' a plastic goose. It had a real goose sitting on it's head, so they were obviously smarter than the decoy maker.

There's always those cardboard dog cutouts. You can see how much success they have with them over at our business complex Smile

most of the golf courses have gone to hiring / borrowing border collies or a herding dog that will chase them
for a day or two every several weeks.
The local University that was built around an existing pond has now started letting the forest regrow instead of having huge open fields because the open fields allow the geese to feel safe (see predators).

The geese poop is a nasty nitrogen pollution source.
You might be able to get the county to exterminate them if the pond is a vital part of a watershed.

I was at Elmendorf AFB when an AWACS radar plane went down on take off due to geese getting into the engines.

24 crew members lost their lives.
