Cheney on his deathbed understands more about foreign affairs than junior Obama ever will. Taliban are laughing him.

Dakota-

I'm afraid that Cheney's approach to foreign affairs is more on the order of non-consensual instead of the 'order the lobster' approach that is more common with the US Dept of State lace panty squad.

And while that's all well and good for a wartime approach, when used with erstwhile allies it has a negative effect. And neither approach worked well with the Taliban's home territory, which of course is the tribal areas of what is considered 'Pakistan'.

It is a matter of opinion. If I want someone to negotiate with the likes of Ahmadinejad I'd rather send Cheney than Obama. I just do. I will never be sure of the deal Obama comes back with. He is so burdened with American guilt that I just don't see him fight hard enough. His whole approach during the campaign was "negotiations without preconditions". OK, who has come around as a result of this policy? Nobody. They are spitting on his face. Look at Afghanistan. Sure, he is sending in more troops but his heart isn't in it. Woodward account proves that he is more interested in "getting out". Just like what he advocated in Iraq.

It's ok, we know you don't comprehend the issues being discussed here.
