cbelt, no matter who posts what about a politician in either party, your response is always "Whoopdee doo, a politician (place news story here). Why am I not surprised?" Apparently your ennui has overcome your ability to respond in any other way. I'm not the one who keeps posting "they're all crap" so you needn't worry about my ability to think clearly at election time.

I think $tevie is referring to your blase "business as usual" riposte to any mention of political corruption. Clue phone for cbelt: It's not "business as usual." The government is full of people who work their asses off both in political jobs and in the agencies. To tar everyone with the "they're all corrupt and lazy" brush is unfair to them and to us. The general lack of respect for government is not merited, but people seem to think it is cool. BS.
More clues: Most cops don't even like doughnuts.
Most reporters work diligently, and cooperate with competitors, to get the information out.
There are plenty of lawyers who try to work for the common good.
