Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - hal - 05-07-2006 Sam Kennison (sp) most unfunny guy of all time... Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - guitarist - 05-07-2006 Steve Colbert. He's funny on paper. He's funny in theory. He has all the ingredients of a humorist, satirist, commedian, and funny TV personality, the material is smart, sharp, bright, well-written. I'm supposed to respect him for how daring he his, and many people I know agree without quuestion that he's funny...except, I've only noticed recently, I've never once laughed out loud at his material. Laughter is an involuntary response. It's a mystery why some are able to provoke laughter and others aren't. Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - Bernie - 05-07-2006 ![]() Andy Kaufman was not funny. He was best known for not being funny on Saturday Night Live. Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - brofoski - 05-07-2006 Ralphie May Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - pRON aHOLIC - 05-07-2006 Carrot Top Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - decocritter - 05-07-2006 I agree with Sagat and Martin Lawrence. Conan Obrien is not very funny and can't interview. I don't care for Whoopi, espec in movies. Tony Danza gets on my nerves. Howard Stern is obnoxious as is Andrew Dice Clay . Tom Green is just weird. Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - Article Accelerator - 05-07-2006 Tracy Morgan (SNL)--never funny enough to elicit even the slightest smile. How did he get that gig? http://www.tracymorgan.net/ Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - Seacrest - 05-07-2006 Howard Stern is incredibly funny, but mostly when he's just being 'himself,' and not doing prepared schtick. His show can be incredibly juvenile, and visceral, and raw, and everything in life is a fair target for its humor, although, IMO, it never goes for out-and-out meanness. Whenever others WRITE about what happens on Stern's show or tries to summarize or otherwise paraphrase the proceedings, they never do it justice. Howard has the unenviable task of being entertaining for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, and generally pulls it off. He's underappreciated now*, but history will smile on him as one of the great humorists of our time. *As 'underappreciated' as one can be who makes $100M a year. Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - davester - 05-07-2006 Both Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh have comedy shows but I don't find them funny at all. They should take some lessons from Jon Stewart. Re: OT: Poll - comedians who are not funny - ajakeski - 05-07-2006 Ghallager. |
