UV protection has been used in furniture foam and other plastics for a while. I don't see why this would not have been manufactured well after that. Acrylic and lucite hold up extremely well in my house and some of it is at least 20 plus years.

It sure is cool looking.

I wonder how the speakers sound today?

Yeah, I imagine everything has yellowed by now.

I don't see why.

My Cube, matching mouse, keyboard, iSub, and 17" and 23" ADC ACDs look like brand new, no yellow. The mouse is scratched with those very fine scratches like you see on close inspection of a car's paint.

I have the same setup, even the monitors and none has yellowed.

I guess because I've seen a lot of that same equipment that has yellowed.

Are you sure that's not OS 8?

Gotta wonder how old that picture is. Looks in awfully good condition.... though $300-$350 would be more in line IMHO.

Profile Date Time : 1998:02:09 06:49:00

that can't be the date the pic was taken on

You mean Harman/Kardon, not HP.

Yeah, you're right. I knew it was one of those "H's" . . . :boink:

As a Cube owner myself I see no reason why it would be yellowed, mine has not, my Orb speakers don't
look quite that good.

Here's what bothers me about this system:

"Sample picture of what I am selling, system does not include the sound sticks only orbs and subwoofer."

It's a sample picture probably not the real system and doesn't include the Soundsticks which I believe came
with the Sub.

This is what bothers me the most:
"I am asking $500 obo"

$500 for a novelty computer running OS9? I rather have an iPad.

That looks entirely too cool.

Wouldn't buy it myself, but it's still way cool.
