Will it be 2012 when Sprint joins Verizon, or will they be able to hold out until 2013?

No, no, Sprint is going to gobble up all the remaining carriers so they can control the other 30% of the market.

Not quite true. I go places where my AT&T iPhone has full bars and 3G and my Tmobile BB (work device) has no service at all. In one section of the building where I work, I get 1 bar of Tmobile with Edge service and nothing on the iPhone. Both are set up to use data roaming. From what I have been told, both networks do not share coverage in all areas of the country. They may also be prioritizing network traffic to their subscribers.
