Do you think the people in that room weren't sure who was the commander in chief? He was in a very private meeting on a Sunday night with his closest advisers, there was no need for the formality of office.

The important key here for people to remember is that when a spec ops mission is going on, NOBODY in that room is saying ANYTHING to the team on the other end. That sort of Hollywood crap gets spec ops teams killed.

I can't say I agree much with that breathless assessment. He made a very difficult decision and a big gamble. That's what we pay him to do. Let's not make him into a hero or a saint.
