I use the Apple Universal - it's usually only a little bit larger than a handbrake standard rip, but it plays well on literally any iOS device and still looks great. SKYLANE, that's a great suggestion on using a G4 mini for an iTunes server. Do you have it hardwired via ethernet into your family wifi hub, or is it streaming wirelessly, too? You're preaching to the choir, and a little late at that. I still use RipIt to rip, and HB to compress.
