Back when I used it regularly on my iPod touch, every time I installed an update, upon running it for the 1st time I'd get a pop-up telling me that the application could only be run on an un-jailbroken device. Oddly enough it ran fine anyway.

Speedy -

You don't' need that large window showing constantly in the latest Skype. Go to the Window drop down menu - there is another windows that swill do just as swell, and is 1/4 of the size. Not pretty, but gives you al you need to know/see.

What if like what happened to me happens. Google Earth got installed without my even knowing it and it was a version that only works with an Intel processor. I have a G5 iMac, so no worky for me. Luckily I noticed it and had a backup I was able to re-install. I had no chance to review the requirements as I had no notice of the update. Thanks for nothin' Google!! WTF!

I politely suggest always checking the requirements.... I only know a little and most of that I learned
