General rule in life.........

What goes around, comes around.

Sounds like Mr Lopez is a class act.

Yuck the Fankees, and they horse they rode in on.

Jeter is an alright guy, and has worked hard to achieve his success.
The kid that got the historic ball was free to whatever he wanted w/ it, so I won't Monday morning quarterback his choice. If I were fortunate enough to end up w/ such a historic souvenir, I would let my feeling for the player, and possibly his team, dictate my behavior under the circumstances.

Let's see how he feels when the IRS tells him that he needs to pay income tax on all of those "gifts" that he just got. I'm sure that they Yankees are writing them off as business expenses.

I'm assuming that he didn't grow up in NYC.

Wow. A good moral, ethical move beats out greed and the guy gets blasted because of a dislike of the Yankees. There's something to teach the kids.

I haven't been following any of that so really don't care. I'm just amazed that someone would pay 250 grand for a used baseball....

I'd of auctioned it off to the high bidder. Just what the Yanks do when they take star players from other teams.

+1 +2 +3 why is this considered greed. An item is worth what's worth. Say you find something at a yard sale that you
know is worth $1000's and they want $10, do buy it and resell or inform the vendor of what their item is worth.
My wife made another big Lego purchase last week and the lady needed rent money, she wanted $500 for the
Legos we paid her and went the nearest ATM and got her $50 more to help her out, sure my wife will make many
times that $500 but hey that's what she wanted and she looked like she was really down on her luck and could use a
little extra. I know $50 ain't much but something.

I would sold the ball as long as I could have gotten out of there with it.

What he got is not too bad. He can probably sell half of the tickets for every remaining game and pay the taxes. In a quick search it looks like they are worth ~$500 each. Playoff tickets are 3 to 5 times that.
