That's right. Ever since I can remember, physical access to computer hardware has usually negated all software security. This has applied to everything from small portables to the largest mainframe computer you can think of. Short of encrypted storage being used for the files on the laptop, OS X is no different.

I have read a tutorial on Lenovo Password Reset, there are solutions supported:

Lenovo Windows 7 Password Reset
