Doing what billb suggested, re: the FM thing, around here gets you almost exactly what Spock posted, for better or worse. All those songs are dead to me now, as are the more popular tracks from the Pink Floyd library. I'm hardly ever in the car for more than 15 minutes at a time, so the FM dial gets quite a workout. Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Rolando - 10-04-2011 I prefer comedy audiobooks in the daytime, hard rock at night. BTW, my 14 year old son is listening to Cheap Trick "Surrender"! Good music lasts! Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Mac1337 - 10-04-2011 What a list, Spock. Born To Be Wild got to be the ultimate driving song. Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Markintosh - 10-04-2011 There are many staples...but three come to mind...two that are staples: Life In The Fast Lane - The Eagles Jessica - The Allman Bros And one less notable one you should check out: Know You Rider - Slightly Stoopid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIKKDpcqqV4 Much more upbeat than any Grateful Dead Version. Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Article Accelerator - 10-04-2011 I play Radar Love continuously no matter how long the road trip. This list continues to grow as I find some and add to it, or get something different in. ![]() Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Robert M - 10-04-2011 Rolando, I hear you. I don't listen to comedy audio books but my "noise" of choice for road trips is standup comedy. Lots of standup comedy. The good stuff is always funny, regardless of age and how many times I've listened to it in the past. Definitely makes for a great drive. It's even better when one of the comediennes is talking about annoying drivers and you're experience what he/she is talking about first hand as you're listening to him/her. Robert Re: Your favorite road trip CD/music? - Rolando - 10-04-2011 Robert, a few years ago my Sister In Law was driving, and I introduced her to George Lopez.... she had to pull over because she couldn't breathe or see thru her laughing! I love podcasts for driving too. Smodcast Adam Carolla Charlie Hodge (just started after his Radio show was cancelled!) |
