If somebody can afford to pay the price without starving the family or forgoing medical insurance, why should anybody else be stupid enough to criticize.
Why would anybody care that much about other people's purchases?
As for the pocket not lining up with the shirt, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a deliberate style point.

they've got clearance flannels for $50 that do line up.
i'd rather buy from L. L. Bean & get a lifetime repair/replacement warranty. plus they'd cost less.
