A pinch of Actifed (original formula) always worked best for my intermittent hay fever. The itchy-eyed sneezies didn't hit me often, but when they did, I was totally miserable. The new (meth-phobic) replacement formula never worked for me, so I've been rationing out a few blisterpacks of original Actifed 1/4 tab at a time for years.

I was very pleased to find that Walgreens has started selling the original Actifed formulation again, under the name "WalAct." I tried some yesterday, and it was as effective as the original. A big relief.

My allergies start in Feb. I have no idea what it could be. But I try to avoid taking anything except my regular asthma meds. Claritin gives me headaches. Allegra makes me groggy. Zyrtec makes me comatose.
