My downfall is Trader Joe's. We're heading into pumpkin pie season now, and I will surely get at least one. Haven't seen any peppermint bark, but I know it would tempt me.
I'm trying to resist store-bought temptations of that sort because I want to make a couple of batches of cookies (from scratch, not from refrigerated dough) once the weather is cooler. Back in my office job days, I'd take at least half of any cookies I baked to work, which saved me from myself to some extent. Now I'll try to unload some of them on a couple of my clients who live across the street and have kids.
