I don't wear uniforms but I love U.S. Postal uniforms. So I wear some uniform like clothing for fun.

I've always liked the look of waiters who wear black & white. Very stylish when you see them out and about, away from their job.

I wore a uniform every day for 13 years. There were two big benefits to it:
1. I never had to waste time in the mornings wondering "What will I wear to work today?".
2. Our uniforms were light blue shirts and navy blue pants which looked reasonably good on me. Had they been brown like UPS uniforms, I'd have looked like a walking corpse for 13 years.
Old habits die hard and even though I'm no longer required to wear a specific uniform to work, I still do in a way- A different colored but same brand plain pocket T-shirt and basic blue jeans every day.

Not a required uniform as such, but nonetheless, people always ID as the IT guy somehow...

When I'm doing field work, my uniform is jeans, sturdy long sleeve shirt, hard hat, ear plugs or muffs, nitrile gloves, steel toe/shank shoes, safety glasses, traffic safety vest, all sorts of instruments and equipment hanging from me, and sometimes more (tyvek/saranex suit, respirator, etc). I really don't like wearing all that stuff but it's better than getting hurt on the job. The hearing protection is the worst...everybody yelling at everybody else and nobody able to hear what the heck the other is saying.
