You'll be crying to go back to Outlook. Re: Why does Outlook suck so much? - kj4btkljv - 11-15-2012 DRR wrote: Now that's just crazy talk right there. If MS improves it at the same pace as they did with Entourage then we can reasonably expect Outlook to be a useful, stable and friendly product by 2020. Re: Why does Outlook suck so much? - Cary - 11-16-2012 Here's a different, but related Outlook 2011 question: In Outlook (PC), I can view Calendar items and sort by size, thereby finding large attachments easily. This is great for pruning my Exchange mailbox. I can't figure out any way to do this (or even sort by "with attachments") in Outlook (or Mail, for that matter). Here is an answer from a Microsoft Support Engineer: "Outlook 2011 does not support attaching items to calendar appointments. Hence the calendar entries will not contain any attachments in them for us to search and delete it. Attachments are only part of emails. To view them click to select the folder. Click on the View tab, go to Arrange By and click to select Attachments." This makes no sense to me - I receive meetings with attachments, and I can send attachments as part of a meeting, also. Any suggestions? Re: Why does Outlook suck so much? - M A V I C - 11-16-2012 The "Microsoft Support Engineer" is wrong. Outlook 2011 does support attaching items to calendar appointments. |
