Were you able to handle that scene in mission impossible? Does it have to be reality or will a flat screen suffice to generate fear?

I have been scared watching a cartoon.
Like Wile E Coyote falling from a cliff?

wow...

do people ever get over these kind of phobias? I've never heard of anyone being completely cured...

No phobias here.

I'm not really sure if it's correct to call fear of height or confined spaces "phobias". I suspect that this sort of thing is programmed into our DNA. Some people are probably simply better at suppressing that fear than others.

Now if someone is let's say afraid to leave the house, and this interferes with their life, then I'd agree that such a person has a phobia.

LOL
I'm afraid of picking up germs from buffet tables or the irresistible freebie snacks at Costco.

This year my phobias might be worrying about the Lakers getting there "stuff" together *(:>*

Fear of heights here, too. I don't even like to stand next to the wall of a hotel room if it is a dozen stories or more. Quite irrational. The first few floors are not a problem. I could not have done the stunt work that Cruise did in that movie.

Well, not that bad. More like a realistic cartoon with people.

My greatest phobia and trauma as I may say is losing someone who's really close to me, a family member, relative, friend and colleague. Well, I have known someone who has cancer now. And I really don't know how is she coping. Well, come across this reading material online, Art and Meditation for Cancer Patients and shared it unto her.
