I apologize for the lack of clarity. The issue is not the scrollbars. The issue is the arrows that facilitate scrolling in smaller increments. I have tried it, not having them is a PITA (IMO) and I don't see a way to get them back:

I guess I use the arrows on my keyboard.

There is a possibility this will return with Mavericks.

And, yes, this is one of the reasons I stuck with 10.6 instead of moving to Lion. Sorry, ML was not a full upgrade over SL. It is, however, definitely better than Lion!

Sometimes that works well but sometimes it still s..ks.
