elmo3, I think you're overlooking the obvious. Not to be mean, because I like redheads, but... it's not the most flattering of photos.

Actually, she's quite reasonable, and yes, she does get asked out a lot. Then again, this seemed like a fun idea, and we've been enjoying putting it together. The photo is an interesting one, I think -- while it isn't the most flattering in some ways, she's got those big eyes and and a little smirk. It works.

Actually, we were walking along the street last week, past someone barbecuing. She said, "That smells good!" I asked her if she was ready to try meat again, and she said that if she was going to do it, she'd want to go out on a nice, fancy date and have some guy buy it for her (typical, eh?). I joked that we could set up a contest to see who would be willing to do it, and voila! Marci Eats Meat!

I guess it's eye of the beholder... that's why I said "unflattering" -- she might very well be very attractive, but I wouldn't have said so from the photo. That, combined with the nature/text of the website, gives the impression of desperation. Never attractive. If she really wants a nice (non-vegetarian) meal, with a nice guy, then this isn't the way to go about it. If she wants a nice, vegetarian meal, geez... I'd take her out. (I would do this just as a friendly gesture, and because Boston is otherwise such an incredibly unfriendly place-- and plus even though I myself am NOT a vegetarian, I know some of the absolutest bestest vegetarian places here, and really love vegetarian cooking.) But I am sure as heck not going to do this for a website!

Put up a full body shot. At the very least indicate her stats. Throw us a bone here.
