If your deposit was in the form of a check, maybe the seller just tore it up, but they
should return the deposit to you, no matter what form. There is no doubt that you are due the deposit back, as for anything else the seller owes you, other than an apology for lying to you and not being true to their word, well I don't know what the law would be on this.

Sorry I just looked at your check yes its being held for you with your deposit of $100 cash & $350 check remaining balance owed when its cleared w/mechanic. Sorry been getting so many replies just started telling everyone SOLD. It will be going to DOCS today for check up to be sure all is good on car. It's pretty costly to switch from rubber bumper specs to chrome bumper. First of all, there is a significant amount of sheet metal and painting work to be done. Then, there's the issue of lowering the suspension to improve the handling of the car. After that, you're still stuck with the anemic rubber bumper engine, which requires new pistons, carburetors, manifolds, and a distributor modification to come even close to the power of the older chrome bumper models (which is what I have). If you want the performance of a chrome bumper model it makes much more sense to buy one than to try to convert a rubber bumper model.
