Re: Car Key with Remote Replacement Suggestions - MarkD - 01-31-2014

i have used ikeyless.com and keyless-remotes.com when I have lost onekey/remote. both got me the right products for two different GM vehicles. They had a variety of remotes and pricing. The reprogramming is from the owners manual or directions on the web--dont pay extra for the programing directions.

Needed a key done (electronic code)--new service of the Ace Hardware place. Started up and have had no problem--cost me something like $70. Before Ace offered the service, they gave a referral to a local lock shop.

when getting the latest remote last year, bought a key finder. Actually works, but the sound is not very loud.
I did not check the dealer, but acted assuming that they would not be the low vendor based on other information and experiences I have heard. I live on the west side of Houston, Texas.

When I lost a Ford key, the Ford place told me I had to bring the truck in. I kept asking them how in the hell am I supposed to do that without a key.
