Awwwww. So sorry for your loss. It's unfortunate such wonderful beings live such short lives.

Very, very sorry to hear it. Putting down a pet is an exceptionally difficult thing to do.

Re: Tia - GeneL - 04-28-2014

Anyone that treasures a companion critter can feel your loss. I know how terrible I would feel if something happened to Precious.

I'm sad for your loss, mrlynn.

The value to us of our little friends is immeasurable.

So sorry to hear, mrlynn. What irresistible faces those pups had! And your son must be persuasive indeed...

Losing a pet is so difficult...

Re: Tia - mrlynn - 04-29-2014

Thank you all for the warm words. As many have said, pets become such integral members of the family that losing one can be wrenching. Euthanasia, as it's technically called, is particularly difficult. We actually had an appointment scheduled for Sunday a week ago, but by early morning Tia seems to be having "A good day," as my wife put it, so we cancelled. And she did seem to enjoy lying out in the sun and barking at the kids who rode up and down the next-door driveway on their scooters. But by Wednesday, it was clear that there probably weren't going to be more good days.

/Mr Lynn

PS A-Polly: Yes, when Nathan was little, I used to say that he would become a lawyer, so good was he at making a case. Instead he became a trumpet player, and is now Assistant Rabbi at Ruach Israel, a Messianic Jewish Synagogue in Needham, MA. Kids are always full of surprises.
