Printrbot also just announced a CNC router at Maker Fair. They have an iPad version of the software to control it too. They have a video on their YouTube channel, but it has so much background noise you can't hear a thing they're saying about it.

I recall (I've had several MakerBots, including the newest Replicators...). MakerBot was also bought out by Stratasys, in the Fall, but you might have known that.

Speaking of pulling the trigger on a 3-D printer...
There is a project on a competitive shooting forum I am on, to replicate unobtainable replacement rifle magazines for Russian Biathlon rifles. The surplus rifles are very affordable for their accuracy level, but the plastic magazines are all but impossible to find.
So, they are working on prototypes before they crank up production here in the states. Great grassroots project.
