I read that the security issue was that hackers found a way of brute forcing the password without the servers shutting down so that they could repeatedly attempt passwords without being blocked. Apple quietly fixed the issue but the cat, err, cats, are out of the bag. I'm just surprised that having a limited number of login attempts/time period isn't standard practice.

If it were me, the photo would show the empty bag on ME rather than over my phone. But that's just how I roll.

There are a number of theories being floated about what happened, some putting the onus on Apple, some not so much. A name for the responsible party is already being put forth on reddit, but he is, of course vehemently denying it.
And the internet continues being the internet with posts about "photo rape'/rape culture, dodgy links to where "You can download these all photos... proofs added! ENJOY" (Enjoy that trojan, bud), 'what's the big deal about boobs?' and all the other usual flotsam and jetsam that comes with the innertubes.
