Chromebooks serve a great function: 1) You give your students a full google account. Docs and files are all there. 2) You give you student a chromebook. They log into the computer, they are ready to go with google docs, etc. 3) When that student leaves, they log out. A new student logs in, repeats step (2). I think this is a great thing. The student has all of their data stored in the cloud, they don't even need to bring their own hardware. Re: MBA Competitor $330 Chromebook 2? Or not? - kj - 09-03-2014 The MBA screen IS awful. There's no excuse for it. Our school district and many others have gone to google for email, docs, etc., so the chromebooks are becoming a good option for the classroom. kj. A $330 notebook shouldn't have a better panel than the 13" Air. Re: MBA Competitor $330 Chromebook 2? Apple made this TN mistake with the 20" screens on the first gen Aluminum iMacs and fixed it later with much IPS-laden fanfare. Time to fix this in the MBAirs. Re: MBA Competitor $330 Chromebook 2? Don't see why any web app wouldn't work well enough to make this a pretty nice setup. |
