Not Samsung's. iTunes on Windows wasn't about selling more PCs, but expanding the market for iPods. If it ends up dragging everyone else along with them, then it's to the benefit of all consumers. I recall when credit card purchases were treated like somewhat of a special thing, with careful vetting of the customer. Now, some stores don't even require a token signature for amounts under a certain threshold. They'd rather compete in the market against Google Pay, Amazon Pay, etc. Over the course of their history, Apple has consistently wanted their tech innovations to distinguish their products from others, not enhance other manufacturers' products with licensed Apple tech. Oh I know precisely why they do it. If your product is " all that" thenwhy worry about losing sales to Samsung? limited distribution by Apple is why Samsung is the mobile force they've become. I have to do an account. If you have NFC, then you're in the game with Apple doing all the wooing. I use Google Wallet (at "paypass" terminals) and with "token" details aside, is totally simple to use. Walgreens and CVS always has 'em. Also, Apple gives the impression that buying stuff is the only use for NFC. I hope they don't limit it to just that.
