Sort of. Though Ive enjoyed the advantages of the new low power Bluetooth on my pebble. I can see where that might be a real hardware issue.
But the graphics is often Apple arbitrary for sure. The pre-unibody MacBooks are more than capable of running windows 8.1, but apple locks them down to Mac OS X 10.7.

Your guide doesn't match what Apple is telling us from the link I originally posted. According to your guide, my Mac mini (mid 2011 2.7GHz core i7) supports Handoff but, according to Apple, it does not. And, I don't have the option in the General Preference Pane to activate Handoff.

What I've been noticing is computers are becoming more complementary to phones a tablets, whereas just a few years ago the opposite was true.
Macs aren't going anywhere anytime soon, but their development may continue to slow as more resources are put into mobile development.
I don't think development can slow down any more. With the exception of the 5k iMac where Apple had to wait for the LCD screens and a mobile GPU that could drive it to be made, the "new" Macs could have been released a year ago.

I agree. I think the delay was to our advantage, however!
