Sheesh. I'll be going to Walmart for Depends tomorrow, I guess.

Maybe, but that depends.

Well, this thread went down the crapper in a hurry.

Just now I was at the store, the Beach Boys California Girls was wafting through the air. On a whim, I asked the 30 year old checker if she knew the song or who it was by. She did not.

Ouch... I was hoping this day would never come.
The song was a hit 20 years before she was born. That would be like me know the big hits of 1941. I do not.
I went on a brief kick where I thought the Andrews Sisters were pretty cool when I was 10 or 11 (I think one of their songs somehow ended up in the charts?)

You mean the Bette Middler cover in 1972 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6p5XKFl_IY - yeah, I remember that too. If not for that single, I would never have known the Andrew Sisters.

Could be... this cover could have sparked the brief wave of interest...or chicken/egg...

I remember the first time I saw a VW Beetle with an Antique Auto license plate. Might be the first (of many) times I felt old.

Would you feel better if she answered David Lee Roth?
