If you're considering doing something, *your* boss would probably tolerate it.
Yes, I think it would be ok to do a little something for the folks you work with, especially if you like them, even if the job sucks.
Also, if you do bring pastries, bring some milk. Juice or soda with donuts is soooooo wrong.

I would just tell them how you feel and let it go at that.
Leave it behind and move on to the new adventures!
