Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - OWC Jamie - 03-14-2016 A change in eating or drinking habit can be a sign of dying. Whether a shared illness between them or they've gotten into something only a vet is going to be able to to a valid blood test/exam. You could wait until they start having death seizures if you really want proof of dying. Hope they're just under the weather and not feeling well but it sure would be nice to know why. Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - cbelt3 - 03-14-2016 Another list here for hoping the vet says they will be okay after some treatment. Good luck ! Poor Kittehs ! Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - DP - 03-14-2016 Keep us in the loop. I want to know the outcome in case something like that occurs to my kitties. And, of course, I want a positive outcome for yours! Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - GeneL - 03-14-2016 I don't see any new report this morning, mrlynn. How are cats doing? I know that everyone is saying,"take them to the vet," but I wonder if it's a money issue? My neighbor, who has had as many as four cats at one time, ended up selling her car in order to pay a vet's cost. One of her cats was mauled by another neigbor's dog. The bill was horrendous, but they did save the kitty. I wish that I was in a financial place to offer to help out, but money is very tight for me. Perhaps, some of the other members who have encouraged you to take them to the vet, might offer to chip in. If that's the problem, of course. I hope your kittys will be okay. Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - rjmacs - 03-14-2016 VET. Onamuji is absolutely right - a few days of not eating means certain death for cats. Please have them checked out. Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - ka jowct - 03-14-2016 Take the older one in first. Also check their gums to see if they are pink. If not, rush them to vet. Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - mrlynn - 03-14-2016 Well, they both ate few bites of wet cat food this morning. And the older one, Liza, played with her ball-in-a-track for a minute. Their gums look OK. We'll see. . . /Mr Lynn Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - vision63 - 03-14-2016 Poor babies. I hope and pray that they get back to their kitty ways asap. Those are signs of their bodies trying to rid themselves of toxins. Poor fur babies ! I hope they recover quickly ! Re: The Cats Aren't Eating - OWC Jamie - 03-14-2016 Have you been watching the debates and cursing ? Some cats can be pretty sensitive. |
