Ryan joins the long list of Republicans who have sold their souls to save their necks. This exposes the lie of "principled integrity" that the party has touted for years. Are there any Repubs who haven't rolled over left?

Maybe so. But I think it's his obligation to respect the primary process that allowed this man to represent his party. The process is the process and Paul Ryan is the current leader of the entire Republican Party until Trump is officially nominated.

I fully believe that Ryan expects Trump to lose, is looking forward to distinguishing himself as the negotiator in chief to President Hillary Clinton and will prepare for a full front-runner go at the office in 2020. I believe he believes this will position him best.

That makes perfect sense. Ryan would have to resign his current leadership role if he refused to endorse Trump. (somewhere John Boehner is toasting his good fortune and having a good laugh.) Ryan has made strong statements denouncing Trump's horrible commentary on race and immigration and he needs to continue to do that though.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- Hillary Clinton is keeping the heat on Donald Trump, saying "we are trying to elect a president, not a dictator."

I'm not as worried about Turmp and the legislature as some. I don't think he's going to be the rubber stamp the Repubs assume; his ego won't allow it. There will be some outlandish initiative of his that Congress can't stomach.
Yep, I am not buying the Clinton propaganda BS either,
still have hope for Sanders, resigned to the disaster of Clinton reign....

You may be pleasantly surprised come the night of the election to find that we will have a Pres. Trump being trumpeted by Faux News or whatever you watch.

Read it again Speedy, I agree with Acer, "I'm not as worried about Trump and the legislature as some."
It is the reign of Heil Hillary that scares me..
Worse yet the missed opportunity of having somebody sane like Sanders, for Change and Hope....

None of this is going to go your way. But being the political child that you are, a healthy dose of Hillary will be good for you regardless. Just let it happen.... Get some rest.

And anyone that thinks a President Trump, this complete utter fool, will be tolerable can only say that because it likely won't affect YOUR life. You'll be fine with your homes, cars and 401k's. You don't have to concern yourself with reproductive rights, educational possibilities, being evicted from your homes, trying to make do with few employment options. It won't be so bad. You can graze at the buffet at Whole Foods any time you like. Tend to your gardens and take your trips. That won't change because you won't be displaced from the neighborhood you grew up in, you don't have to pick food from the fields or watch your parent waste away because you don't have enough to keep mom together at your house. None of this is your battle.

You figure it won't be so bad because your mythologically evil Hillary Clinton, a woman, with a successful powerful husband is so incredibly distasteful to you that you'll likely HELP Trump by electing to NOT tally a vote FOR her AGAINST Trump.

Fortunately for her and the rest of us, she won't NEED you to win.

Actually, a Trump presidency will affect max because Trump is bound and determined to burn bridges with most of our trading partners and most especially China.

So is Sanders, his favored candidate.

No big deal, I adapt, i have worked in much worse political and financial environments.
Still, Sanders had the right ideas for this country, none of which will be followed by the corrupt neocon....
