Best of luck, GeneL. The things they can do with bypasses and whatnot is nothing short of amazing. I live in Cleveland, home to the Cleveland Clinic, and they have what is almost an assembly line doing bypasses all day long. My mother in law went through one, and they found the same sort of small vessel growth that kept her alive even though her main pipes were almost completely clogged. After the bypass, she was in very good condition.
We live in amazing times, and you can beat this !

This book saved my mother's life. The author is Stephen T. Sinatra, M.D., F.A.C.C., a board-certified cardiologist and certified psychotherapist with forty years of clinical experience treating, preventing and reversing heart disease.

The author's approach is very oriented around life style and supplements. The stuff that worked for my mom is CoQ10 (also called Ubiquinol), and l-carnitine.

Holy, hospital food, I meant to say, cr*p!
My plan did not work. I thought that I'd have four or five hours of uninterrupted sleep, hah! The Huns were at my gates several minutes ago. So much for my planning.
I was fast asleep with my BIPAP mask on on, when suddenly I was being tossed about, BP cuff put on and yanked off and then the stab, the prick of the blood draw needle. My eyes still weren't open. Any chest pain, my inquisitor asked?
And then the final insult, "no breakfast until the doctor decides what to do!" "I'm not having the procedure today," I said. We know, but you still have to wait to see the doctor. And when is that? I asked? An indefinite response...
I mean, the food is not to die for but, I was looking forward to my next meal. "More, please!" Oliver said. Even gruel can become desirable when all else is going to hell in a handbag.
