I've come conclude that this really didn't happen but was just a very realistic dream Paul had

The bear in the Apple tree is representative of Microsoft's continued dominance and the "baby bear"
is representative of MS's latest underdeveloped products (mp3 player, music store, etc ...)
that was trying to pick the sweet fruit of Apples success with the iPod & iTunes.

Paul refusing to use his high power rifle is indicative of the hopelessness we all feel
with MS's dominance and our inability to "kill the beast". Using the air rifle suggests
the continued picking away or "stinging" by the critics of MS's products - irritating but not lethal.

As far as Paul looking longingly at his digital camera through windows and not being able
to access it because it is "locked up" - well that's self explanatory

discuss ....

Similar story in our neck of the woods, just yesterday...

Glad your cat didn't become a "bear snack."

Were the apples moldy ?

Re: I just chased a BEAR out of my apple tree! - Buzz - 10-06-2006

...so how exactly did the bears know that it wasn't really their apple tree?

Re: I just chased a BEAR out of my apple tree! - cbelt3 - 10-06-2006

Buzz, because the cat owns it\. Everyone knows that cats own everything in and around their homes. They just rent space to the people.

Yeah.. what cbelt3 said... Big Grin

That and THAT tree belongs to the 47 does and fawns in the area...
At least they come into my yard to snack every afternoon.

Let the bear have some apples. It's not like you're gonna eat ALL of them are you? An ex-gf of mine had two asian-pear trees in her parents backyard. There were so many pears they just let them drop and rot on the ground. They could care less.
