I don't have anything against Starbucks since they are my local, hometown coffee shop Wink

This doesn't go against any company policies that I'm aware of. Being able to order a drink so customized with "room" is promoted by them. They typically have a sign up suggesting you order a customized drink if you want. And they typically ask if you want "room" on some drinks.

There have never been any rules as to how much of a condiment a customer can use. Typically they're only available to customers.

No theft is taking place with this.

It's very difficult to read that article due to all the fake-oh foreign phrases used to create painfully long names for coffee drinks.

I don't think using their half-and-half is stealing. If they don't want people using the half-and-half they shouldn't leave it out there.

I don't really like Starbucks coffee all that much, and I detest the stupid names (when I am in there I ask for a large coffee, and they correct me but I refuse to use those dopey names).

BUT it is really odd that certain businesses become stylish to disparage. Starbucks is just another big chain but for some reason it is considered cool to mock them. Much like McDonalds, everyone has to say bad things about McDonalds when it comes up, as if Burger King and Wendy's and Pizza Hut are all health food restaurants or something. It's a cheap lazy way to appear to be hip or stylishly blase or something.

Never been in a Starbucks.
Might be worth the extra bucks just for the piece of mind knowing the milk (half n' half) hasn't been out subject to the whims of the general public.
Especially in a Mall.

If I recall, even McD's and or BK had to remove sauce from the condiment rack because people were grabbing handfulls.
Whatever they call the sauce they put on Chicken Fingers.

I am reminded of the many stories about how woman would pop into their local department store on their way to work every day and make use of the free perfume spray. Many years ago I had a friend who did just that for about six months. After the first month or so a store official wanted a word with her. My friend thought she was going to be told to stop but all he did was say that there were two department stores locally and maybe she could alternate between them!

Edited to add what I was going to say originally: It isn't stealing, just working the system. It won't be an isolated incident and I'm sure the company knows what is happening but is ignoring it.

I've heard stories of people taking the small half-n-half containers that some chains put in the condiments table to drink in a cup. . .

Sometimes I think $tevie and I are the same person...

Then I look down at my chest, and ...
I'm still not so sure.

Anne Marie made tomato soup out of ketchup and hot water in an episode of "That Girl."

The lamest part about Starbucks is the fact that they use 100% apple juice in their "caramel apple cider." (instead of cider). Juice! :X

Coffee lingo isn't any different than computer lingo.

"It's very difficult to read that article due to all the fake-oh foreign phrases used to create painfully long names for computer stuff." could easily be said by many.

"I don't really like the Apple Store all that much, and I detest the stupid names (when I am in there I ask for 'puter, and they correct me but I refuse to use those dopey names)."

Yeah, '17" Apple MacBook Pro Two Gigabyte Random Access Memory One-Twenty Gigabtye Fifty-four Hundred Revolutions Per Minute Hard Disk Drive Glossy Widescreen Display" so much less-fake, less-foreign and shorter than the coffee names.

And "drip" isn't that dopey of a name.
