Well, Vizio was spying on people, and Apple has Siri which is a lot like Alexa. Apple has the means just like anyone else. Like bill said, I don't think any are worthy of our trust. kj.

I haven't seen google, microsoft, amazon, LG, facebook, et al taking a firm public stand on user privacy. Quite the opposite in fact.
On the other hand, I have seen Apple doing so, even to the point of publishing an open letter, providing a Web site on that specific topic, and taking legal stances on the principle of end-user privacy. Have you been away the last two years? That very stance—publicly espoused—is one of the distinct differences between Apple and its competitors. How you, billb, or anyone could miss it is quite dumbfounding…
