A lot of vets are fine with their clients getting cheaper meds from other sources. My vet is great about faxing prescriptions to mail order services.
Vets don't necessarily stock everything, or expect you to get everything through them.
Road Runner Pharmacy out in Arizona is one of the places my vet refers clients to for things like antibiotics compounded into more palatable liquid forms.
