Um, Wig..you're wrong. Not sure why you would be so dismissive without actually trying to sustain a discussion on the topic.

And it's proven by the fact that they survived with a list of replacement parts..except Gregg..The fact is that Dicky Betts wouldn't have had a job all these years if Gregg wasn't putting the trademark on these songs...

Gregg's vocals? Not a chance..those songs were all about that smoky slurry voice in the end..the Jams become secondary..I've seen them a bunch of times in various configurations till about 10 or so years ago/..mostly sucking because of Betts and showboat crap and a lot of overplaying..Greg's voice held the entire thing together and frankly..the only interesting moments were when he was singing..I think it's a very arguable point.

First Butch earlier this year, then Col. Bruce earlier this month, now Gregg. Southern Rock is taking a beating this year.

Oh, Man! One of my all time favorites! Midnight Rider, Melissa, oh sheet!

Gone way too soon at 69. Those recent pics... he does look sickly.

R.I.P. Gregg, R.I.P.

"end of story, print it." You were inviting discussion? Who knew? I'm dismissive of absolutist statements on things as subjective as music.

Figure of speech, Wig, Pretty clear. Gimme a break.

Now, you also could have offered an opinion as to why you disagree..that would have been much more interesting and I would be very interested in hearing that.

Wow.. Uncle Wig you really took a lot of turns there to make sure that you embarrassed me because i misplaced a name..says a lot about you. Petty.

And in the end? You responses to me are nothing but empty and useless and sort of reaching for an excuse...never figured you for that.
