You have to be careful because if it breaks loose you can do quite a bit of damage to your car, but it is quick and easy.

Pour some concrete mix thoroughly around the wet grass and tire. Wait overnight. It'll provide enough traction in the morning.

Nah, just call AAA.

Are you hesitant to call AAA because you've never used it? It's not like your rate will go up with each incident. They'll be there in 20 mins and you'll be on your way.

Yes, AAA. Your Volt doesn't have the right tires to ever get you out, even if you wait until early morning and everything is frozen solid.

I've called AAA about a dozen times over the years and I think an hour is the longest I ever had to wait. I'd say 30 minutes is about average.
