Re: Is it possible to identify files in use? - ka jowct - 10-30-2006 I am using a font manager, but I shut it down, which should deactivate all but the system fonts. I also checked the open fonts' file paths (which was very tedious). They are all where they should be. This problem is specific to this one drive (my main boot drive). I can boot from a different drive and run DW just fine. However, I would like to know what the heck this drive (my main boot volume) thinks is open on the drive in question. Re: Is it possible to identify files in use? - ka jowct - 10-30-2006 I wondered about Spotlight. I just tried to add the drive to the "privacy" do-not-index list, but it didn't stick⦠Re: Is it possible to identify files in use? - johnc - 10-30-2006 That may point to something. In lieu of Conflict Catcher (and depending on just how badly you want to get to the bottom of this), have you tried Diablotin? ^click^ Re: Is it possible to identify files in use? - ka jowct - 10-31-2006 Geez, this is so annoying. I can clone the stinkin' drive with the open file(s) to a FW drive, and there is no problem running Disk Warrior on it. I clone it back onto the freshly erased internal drive and it's the same old crap. What the fsck is open??????? When I cloned it, I had it skip the Spotlight file. (.Spotlight-V100). I wonder if that's the active file now. |
